The Classics

As a toddler becomes a kid you start reading comic strips. One day a teacher assigns you a children-level novel and you might get hooked to pass each word to the next, page after page. People immerse themselves into the author's eyes and thoughts, you become another person inside that little paperback. As you collect the characters' memories you become more versatile.  Playing after a while, you react quicker and smarter.

Classics are widely respected works of literature. They may reach high art in the sense of their wording, or how the sentences mix. Maybe the plot builds underpinnings that create entangled angles, which are far-reaching in their weight. Classics are better called the canon. The Western canon is the body of artworks that are venerated by millions of readers. It starts with the ancient Greeks to the 21th century.

Western Literature is centuries old, and you can find some of the Classics in the Project Gutenberg library.
